Abigail cracked an eye open to look at him as if he were the most stupidest person in the world for even suggesting that. She wasn't going to ask for his help, before she might've asked for her mom's but he'd poisoned that particular well by admitting he was the one supporting them all along. As if that made up for everything.
"What do you t-think?" Abigail muttered, shaking her head. She looked at him suspiciously when he said that. "I d-didn't say that. But it is. Why do you have it if you know how dumb it is?"
